With a goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, Citizens Climate Lobby promotes a 'price on carbon' for the United States. CLL lobbies the US Congress on a bipartisan basis to pass legislation to impose fees on fossil fuels. The fees would apply to all sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, energy production, transportation, and buildings. The revenue collected would be returned to Americans as a dividend.
